Pam Pickles, Student Employability Manager
As Student Employability Manager for the Faculty of Science and Technology, Pam Pickles, oversees the wide range of activity undertaken by the team. Pam works closely with the faculty's Business Development Managers to provide opportunities and supports the students and businesses involved. She works in collaboration with colleagues across our three other faculties, the central Careers Service, Research and Enterprise Support and our Students' Union.
Pam has over 15 years' experience in HE careers work, predominantly in a student employability role. Prior to her current position she worked for the Lancaster University Careers Service as Student Engagement and Lancaster Award Officer, supporting students in developing strong skill sets through a variety of university and external activities.
Her experience extends to event management, having run many careers fairs and events for the Faculty of Science and Technology.
Rachel Beauchamp, Student Employability Officer
Rachel is the Student Employability Officer for the Faculty of Science and Technology working to engage a wide range of organisations with students and provide support to students and businesses alike.
Prior to joining the Faculty Rachel worked in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Management School developing placement provision, streamlining processes and creating opportunities for students to engage with industry. Her experience also includes student recruitment, events organisation and project management.
