Sustainability Executive- Crowberry Consulting

Do you have a passion for sustainability and support businesses in reducing their carbon footprint? Are you looking for an internship that allows you to work on a variety of projects with endless opportunity? Then this is the internship for you!

Crowberry Consulting are seeking a Sustainability Intern to support them to redevelop their ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management Manual and templates, the current version is now out of date.

The Sustainability Intern would also support the MD with the Chamber Low Carbon Programme, attending local networking events and workshops and have the opportunity to support SME customers with ideas to reduce their carbon footprint and draft up report recommendations.

The Sustainability Intern will be able to support the MD with commercial customers and be involved in research on environmental and energy legislation, strategy and solutions. There is the possibility to support the MD on sustainability audits.

The typical office hours are 09.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday, however, due to some meetings which may over run and UK motorways being as bad as they are sometimes work may not finish until 18.00 hours.

This internship is for 340 hours which is the equivalent of 10 weeks full time work. Crowberry would like the intern to begin work in June/July dependent on the individuals exam commitments.

Skills required

We would expect the intern to be able to use all Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel and Power-point.

We would hope the intern has good verbal communication skills and can feel confident when talking to strangers.

We are a small team and therefore the intern needs to be comfortable in an open plan office.

An ability to think critically and analytically about environmental and energy related matters would be helpful. A

n ability to write short and concise reports would be an advantage.

We would expect the intern to respect our clients confidentiality and not breach our cyber policy by posting any negative social media items (including Tweets/Instagram/Facebook and Linked-in Posts).

Hourly rate

£7.38 plus holiday pay per hour, rising to the National Living Wage where appropriate
