Networks

We conduct research broadly focusing on data-driven methods for building novel network security mechanisms, improving current network security practices and guiding the design of future widely-deployed systems. Our approach revolves around the intersection of Internet-scale security measurements with networked systems performance properties in order to defend against attacks triggered on a number of diverse and heterogeneous infrastructures. We have strong experience in identifying vulnerabilities and exploits in Internet-enabled cyber-physical systems (e.g., ICS, IoT deployments), the Internet’s core infrastructure (e.g., IXPs, Tier-1 networks) and large-scale networked deployments (e.g., the cloud). The conducted research is adaptive with on-going technological advancements in computer networking and the emerging ubiquity of networked systems in our society.
