We invite you to the next in a series of Global Futures events ‘exploring burning questions for global society’:
Images and reflections on a warming planet
Wednesday November 7th 2018, 4pm
LEC 3 Training Rooms 1 & 2
Ashley Cooper is an award winning environmental photo journalist who has spent the last thirteen years travelling to every continent on the planet to document the causes and impacts of climate change and the rise of renewable energy. He has probably seen more first hand impacts of climate change than anyone else. His epic journey took him to amazing landscapes and to some of the most environmentally destructive projects on the planet.
Ashley will take us on a visual tour, infused with personal reflections on what’s going on, what needs to happen, how those things can be brought about and what any of us can do. He will invite lively debate.
Talk (around 45 minutes)
Q & A and discussion
Wine and cheese
Those who want to can also regroup, glass in hand, to further explore the way forward on climate change globally, locally and personally – in light of the climate change story so far.
The event will bring together people from across the university, the city and the local area, so that the issues can be explored from fresh angles in a lively but relaxed setting.
