Our Fitness Suite includes a split-level 100-station gym with an extensive range of cardiovascular and resistance machines.
The split-level gym features market-leading equipment from Technogym, including:
- Cross trainers
These cover all major cardio-vascular and resistance training equipment.
There is also a free weights area featuring:
- Dumbbells from 1kg - 60kg
- Set weight Barbells from 10kg - 45kg
- Smith machines
- Incline/decline/flat bench press
- Cable cross over and an ercolina (single cable)
- Assisted pull ups and easy bars
- 20kg Olympic bars and a dead lift bar
- Plates from 1.25kg - 25kg
- Olympic platform
- A lower back bench and a Scott bench
- Low row
- Lat pulley
- Pure strength incline chest press and lat pull down
- Pure strength calf raise and leg press
- Power Plate machines.
Professional qualified staff are on hand to demonstrate the equipment in inductions, offer personal training advice and ensure the safety of all users. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Fitness Suite.
Access to the Fitness Suite is only granted with a valid sports centre or library card. Please be aware that numbers may be restricted during busy times.

Before you can use the gym we ask that everyone does a 40-60 minute induction session at one of the following scheduled times:
Monday: 9.00am, 12.30pm and 7.00pm
Tuesday-Friday: 9.00am, 12.00pm and 7.00pm
Saturday-Sunday: 11.00am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm
These can be booked online or through reception.
We do offer a Fast Track induction if you feel you wouldn't benefit from a full induction. The fast track is available by request at reception at any time (except during regular induction times). This cannot be booked in advance.
