Updated 17th September 2000
A 15m wide by 2.5m high entrance is at the side of the track. The right of
the entrance has been marked M25 with green paint.
A large chamber is immediately entered with a short choked passage on the left containing broken pottery. This ends at a draughting constriction which opens beyond. A low crawl over calcite at the back of the cave leads to a high chamber with holes in the roof.
A man-made tunnel leaves a walled enclosure just inside the entrance and passes under the entrance into the field below. This may possibly have carried water to a nearby barn.
Reference anon., 1990a states that site M25 has a depth of 195m.
