1106 Nacimiento del Campiazo
Solórzano VP52460202 Altitude 120m Length 65m Depth7m (Previously
called Poco Aguanaz).
Updated 20th February 1999; 17th September 2000
The water supply resurgence before the equestrian centre on the way to Solórzano, just before the turn off to Fresnedo. This area, to the north of Riaño, has some potential. Sandstone beds to the NW have diggable holes. The site is an arch, 3m wide by 1m high with a clear stream emerging. The entrance was full of blocks which have been shifted and there appears to be no problem with the water supply pipe. The dive descends to 4m at the entrance and then a further 3m over the next 60m. The passage is comfortable diving and appears to enlarge ahead.
A short account of the blocked site has been published in a CDG Newsletter (1996?).
