1185 Cave
South Vega VN51119453 Alt. 617m
Updated 30th August 1998
There is a small hazel tree in this entrance which lies 40m to the north of a barn in a small, walled field, on a sandstone band. The western hole has a very good inward draught but a 3m crawl in a sandstone bed leads to a slot choked with rocks and sand which could be dug.
A short excavation has shown it to be a major dig which may not be worthwhile.
