JUDGE MCKINSEY'S "CIRCUS" AT "CARTMEL CLOWN COURT"

Dr. Morgan Spencer has fired back at Judge McKinsey after what she called "unjustified and ill-informed criticisms" during a high-profile fraud case at Cartmel Crown Court. The Judge reportedly openly questioned Dr. Spencer’s conclusions in court, claiming they were "not sufficiently rigorous", that her method "lacked any transparency whatsoever", and that Spencer could not demonstrate that her approach was "accepted by the scientific community".

Spencer rose to fame in 2021 after appearing as an expert witness during the Graven Tech Enterprises money laundering trial. In response to questions about the nature of her relationship with CEO Terry Cruze, the forensic linguist made national headlines when she responded with the now infamous retort, "History doesn't remember good girls".

Today, Dr. Spencer took to a press interview to once again defend her reputation, saying, "I wouldn’t expect someone who hasn’t written a single academic paper in decades to understand the intricacies of modern forensic science. She needed help switching on the courtroom microphone yesterday. I doubt she even knows what an algorithm is." Amid the flurry of questions from journalists, Dr. Spencer called the trial "a circus held at Cartmel Clown Court".

The statement has sparked controversy. One person familiar with the incident called it a justified response to a "clueless, technophobic, out-of-touch judge". Meanwhile, a source close to Judge McKinsey said, "Dr. Spencer’s conduct undermines the decorum we expect in court professionals. Judges must critique the evidence presented, and professionals must respond appropriately within the court, not outside of it." They went on to say that the Judge was "deeply unimpressed" with Spencer's remarks.

The Crown Court don has famously incarcerated hundreds of people for tax evasions, and she was subject to investigation amidst complaints that she routinely handed down stricter sentences and harsher fines than her colleagues. The 2020 report that cleared Judge McKinsey of all charges has been described as a whitewash.
