Currently, I am a Lecturer (~Assistant Professor in US) in the School of Computing and Communications at Lancaster University, UK.

From 2017 to 2019, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher with Prof. Marta Kwiatkowska in the Department of Computer Science at University of Oxford, funded by the EPSRC Project - Mobile Robotics: Enabling a Pervasive Technology of the Future. I received my Ph.D. degree from the School of Computer Science at The University of Adelaide, under the supervision of Prof. Michael Sheng. I also did a six-month research intern in IoT Tech Center (GreenOrbs), Tsinghua University. I obtained my Master degree in Control Science and Engineering and my Bachelor degree in Automation, both from Central South University, China. Before my Ph.D., I had worked as a Control System Engineer in Institutes of Optics and Electronics at Chinese Academy of Sciences for six months.

My research interests lie in: (i) Robustness, Safety and Interpretability on Deep Neural Networks; (ii) Machine Learning and Its Applications in Data Analytics; and (iii) Ubiquitous Computing, IoT and Digital Health.
