LATEST NEWS FOR DELEGATES:

 

Arrival:               On arrival at the University, delegates who have booked accommodation should make their way to the Conference Centre (#14 on the map), where room keys will be allocated from 2pm – 11pm each day.

 

After 11pm, keys should be collected from Security located at the Reception Building (#42 on the map).

 

Delegates who do not need accommodation should go directly to the registration desk in the foyer of the George Fox Building (#23 on the map).

 

Registration:        The registration desk will be the Foyer of the George Fox Building (#23 on the map).  This will be open from 2 pm – 10 pm on Monday 18th, and thereafter daily from 8 am – 9 am, and each coffee, tea and lunch break.

 

Parking:              Delegates coming by car should initially park near the Conference Centre (#14 on the map), where they will be given parking permits and told where they may park for the duration of the conference.

 

Accomodation:   Standard rooms are all in Pendle College (#38 on the map).

En-suite rooms are all in the George Fox Building (#23 on the map). Note that all room keys will be allocated at the Conference Centre (#14 on the map).

 

Talks:                 All talks will be presented in Lecture Theatre 1 (LT1) of George Fox Building (#23 on the map).

 

                          Speakers should download their Powerpoint presentation to the network during the break prior to their session (there will be a dedicated technician in LT1 / LT2 to help with this).  Speakers can check their talk on the computers in LT2 at any point prior to this.

 

Posters:              Posters will be displayed in the Foyer of George Fox Building (#23 on the map).

 

Poster boards will be erected in the Foyer of George Fox Building during the afternoon of July 18th, and presenters are asked to put up their posters immediately following registration.

 

Poster boards will be in portrait format and will be 4 ft tall x 3 ft wide (1220 mm tall x 915 mm wide).  Velcro strips will be provided to stick posters to the boards.

 

Meetings:            ASAB committee meetings will take place in LT3 of George Fox Building (#23 on the map).

 

                          The ASAB AGM will take place in LT1 of George Fox Building.

 

Meals:                All lunches will be served in LT5 and LT6 of George Fox Building (#23 on the map).

 

                          Tea and coffee will be served in the Foyer of George Fox Building.

 

                          All evening meals will be served at Barkers House Farm (#4 on the map).

 

                          On Tuesday evening, there will be a wine reception, sponsored by the Lancaster Environment Centre, in the Foyer of the Lancaster Environment Centre (#30 on the map).

 

                          There will be a late bar each night of the conference (6.30pm - 12.30am) in Cartmel Bar at Barkers House Farm.
