About STOR-i<\/strong><\/p>

STOR-i is a renowned Centre for Doctoral Training which offers a fully funded 4-year PhD programme in Statistics and Operational Research. The cohort-based programme is well funded through the EPSRC, Lancaster University, and various industry partners. STOR-i collaborates with a host of dedicated industry, academic, and charity partners across a wide range of sectors.\u00a0<\/p>

Why STOR-i?<\/strong><\/p>

I applied to STOR-i because it offered me the chance to refocus on my passion for statistics while still leaning on my background in machine learning and industry experience. The MRes year is particularly appealing because it provides the chance to explore various areas within statistics and operational research before narrowing the focus during the PhD phase. The opportunity to work with leading professors throughout the programme was also a significant factor in my decision to apply.<\/p>

STOR-i\u2019s strong emphasis on collaboration, practical problem-solving, and access to top researchers creates the kind of environment I was looking for. The structure and ethos of the programme also align very well with my aim of conducting meaningful research while continuing to build upon my expertise.<\/p>
