I’m Harry<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I am currently completing my MRes as part of the STOR-i Centre for Doctoral Training, based in Lancaster University’s Mathematics Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I completed my undergraduate Master\u2019s degree in Physics, where I wrote my dissertation on the effects of anthropogenic climate change on clouds. I hope to take on a PhD project in Statistics with applications related to climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My research interests lie in machine learning and its applications in data science, particularly in time series forecasting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n A changepoint is a moment in a time series when the statistical properties of the data-generating process change. This project investigates detecting these in real time.<\/p>\n View More<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) is a method for sampling from complex probability distributions using a Markov chain that converges to the target distribution.<\/p>\n View More<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) combines neural networks with reinforcement learning to optimize decision-making in complex environments.<\/p>\n View More<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Developing a sentiment analysis model for the Lancaster University Investment and Finance Society. <\/p>\n View More<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nBack to Top<\/a>\n\n Anthropogenic aerosol emissions affect the albedo of clouds, increasing reflectivity and thereby exerting a negative forcing effect on global warming.
