Welcome To My Website
I am a PhD Student with the Statistics and Operations Research with Industry (STOR-i) CDT at Lancaster University in collaboration with the British Red Cross. My primary research interest is developing statistical models, in particular latent variable models, for humanitarian decision making.



My Journey
- I graduated in 2025 with a Masters in Research from Lancaster University; during the course of this degree, I began my research collaboration with British Red Cross.
- I worked as a Technical Business Analyst from 2023-24, where I gained skills in SQL, data-analysis and professional code-writing.
- I graduated in 2023 with a Masters in Mathematics from Durham University.
Educational Outreach
- In January 2026, I attended Glasgow University and presented on my research and academic journey to undergraduates.
- I worked at the PhD Your Way event to encourage students from underrepresented groups to consider a PhD in mathematics.
- I have worked in educational outreach for Durham University’s Levelling Up Programme, Problem Solving Matters, Young Minds Big Maths and The Sutton Trust.
Other Interests
- I also enjoy playing chess and am proud to be in the top 100 female players in England as of January 2025 (see ECF Top Players to check if this is still true).
- I also work as a Chess Coach for junior players, and am teaching three classes and running a chess club at St Stephens’ School, Preston.
