I’m an applied Maths postgraduate student currently living in Lancaster, UK. In May 2024, I completed an Integrated Masters in Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. With a focus on Statistics and Operational Research, my studies were oriented towards Integer and Combinatorial Optimisation, Computational and Numerical Methods, Mathematical Modelling, Data Science and Machine Learning.
My undergraduate dissertation was on Mathematical Optimisation of Scheduling Problems (in particular, the Nurse Rostering Problem). While studying the Nurse Rostering Problem, I found myself keen to undertake further research in Operational Research and/or Statistics which may be useful in solving real-world problems. This motivated me to pursue a PhD.
After completing a Master of Research in Statistics and Operational Research degree with the STOR-i CDT at Lancaster University, I am now a Year 1 PhD in Statistics and Operational Research at STOR-i. The research topic of my PhD is “Consumer Healthcare Supply Chain Visibility and Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimisation”.
When I’m not doing maths, I enjoy music, hikes, long walks, repurposing waste into crafts, and bouldering!
