Shahnaz Abdul Hameed

Hey there! I’m Shahnaz, from India. I’m an MRes student@STOR-i, Lancaster. I did my undergrad in Physics and MSc in Maths (both from India). You’ve landed on my personal website, if you’re keen to learn more about STOR-i, my journey into Statistics, my work or more, scroll down!

Central London, Christmas eve, 24/12/24 (love taking metropolitan shots!)

I got into Statistics through an intro course in the first semester of my MSc. Ever since, I’ve tried to learn more and worked on projects at the intersections of statistics with physics (particle), programming (interaction search) and pure mathematics (representation theory) (You can access them all via my github below!). This led to developing an interest in collaborative and impactful research, and thus STOR-i. Below are some quick links to help you navigate through if you’re in a hurry! Links to new posts will appear at the bottom.

Lancaster’s a cozy, silent town with much to offer. It’s odd and brilliant in conflicting ways. There’s a wide variety of food available! The autumn at campus is incredibly pretty (especially on your way to PSC!) The city is a bus ride away!
