SilverCloud is a self-help programme which allows you to learn more about stress, anxiety, depression, and body image, and provides tools to help you identify where these issues arise in your day-to-day life. It provides practical guidance to help you make real-life changes to help you address and manage your mental health difficulties.

Aimed at students, SilverCloud is based on a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach to identifying problems and finding solutions and is widely used in the NHS, with excellent success rates. This service is provided free of charge to all students studying at Lancaster for a year from the date of registration.

As a Lancaster student, you can access SilverCloud from anywhere at any time, without the need for an appointment.

To access and use SilverCloud, please use your Lancaster University email address.

For students who self-refer to our Service, SilverCloud may be offered as a clinical intervention with the support of a practitioner. If SilverCloud is used in this way, a practitioner will assess whether SilverCloud is the right form of help for you at the current time and will arrange regular review dates to review your interaction with the programme and provide further guidance. To access the Service, please complete our online self-referral form.
