‌‌We can help with a wide range of course and study choices, from intercalation and changing your course to changing your university. Please be aware that whatever move you are considering, support and advice is available. Your one-stop student enquiry desk is the Base

  • Postgraduate students
  • If you feel uncertain about carrying on at Lancaster, it is important that you talk the matter through with your Supervisor, Programme Tutor or Departmental Academic Adviser. There may be other options available to you that you may be unaware of, for example, suspending your studies (intercalation). Guidance notes and forms for all options can be found here.
  • There is also a Drop In session Tuesdays & Thursdays 14:00 - 15:00 in The Base for general advice and guidance.
  • Should you have any career related questions regarding your plans to withdraw or intercalate please contact Careers for information, advice and guidance.
  • If after exploring all your options you decide to leave, it is essential that you do not just disengage. Discuss your situation with your department and inform the Student Registry of your decision to withdraw by emailing
