Staff Training: Disability Service & Transitions Team

DISABILITY AWARENESS TRAINING offers an insight into the work done by the Disability Service including ILSPs, alternative assessment arrangements, and what to do if a student discloses a disability to you. Training is flexible and interactive to suit your needs.

AUTISM AWARENESS TRAINING is an online session looking at strategies to support students with an Autism diagnosis. While we are not Autism specialists, we work with students with an Autism diagnosis daily. This training draws on our experience in sharing strategies for supporting these students.

CARERS TRAINING is an online session looking at the challenges faced by students who are Carers. In this session we consider how to identify and support these students, and how to be more inclusive to support those who have not disclosed. Email the Transitions Team to access the training.

CARE LEAVERS TRAINING is an online session looking at the challenges faced by students who are Care Leavers. In this session we consider how to identify and support these students, and how to be more inclusive to support those who have not disclosed. Email the Transitions Team to access the training.

ESTRANGED STUDENT TRAINING is an online session which looks at the challenges faced by students who are Estranged from their families. In this session we consider how to identify and support these students, and how to be more inclusive to support those who have not disclosed. Email the Transitions Team to access the training.
