Assessment results

Undergraduate Students

All exams results will be published on the University webpages. You can view your results on your Interactive Transcript which you should access from the Online Student Services area of your Student Portal. You can gain access using your standard University username and password.

Visiting and exchange students

These arrangements do not apply to visiting/exchange students currently studying at Lancaster. In your case your exam results are sent directly to your home University by our International Office.

Part II second year

Part II second year results will be confirmed by the Committee of the Senate. The results shall also be reported to the Part II Board of Examiners in your final year. The University's regulations require that all Part II work shall be finally assessed in the academic session in which it is studied. If you fail any units, the re-assessment is compulsory and shall take place during the resit period for that year.

Final year

Final Year’s provisional results will be released in departments shortly after the relevant board of examiners has met. Results are provisional until ratified by the Committee of the Senate of the University.

Conferment of degrees

Degrees will be conferred at ceremonies. Degree certificates, transcripts and Higher Education Achievement report will be available for collection on the day of your degree ceremony. Any documents not collected during ceremonies week will be posted out to the home address we have on record. You can check and update your address information by going to the Online Student Services area of the Student Portal.

If you would like a third party to collect your degree documents for you as you are unable to attend your ceremony, you must complete a Degree documentation third party permissions form and email this to alumnidocument@lancaster.ac.uk from you Lancaster University email account before the date of your ceremony. The person collecting your documents will also need a copy of this form. We will not hand your documents to anybody else without this. Please note, we cannot accept responsibility for your documents once they have been collected and, if you do not receive them or they are damaged, you may be charged to be sent duplicates.

If you require duplicates of your documents, you can order these for a small charge from the Alumni Document Ordering System. Orders take 30 days to process and will be sent by Royal Mail unless DHL is selected. We also offer a priority service that reduces the processing time to 10 days.
