Donald Watt was a mature student at Lancaster University in the late 1980s, taking a degree in Religious Studies. After his death in 2008 his widow, Margot established a legacy pledge to the University. On Margot's death in 2014 the legacy was made to the University.
This fund is to be used to support undergraduate students who run into financial difficulty while at University. Students supported from the fund must be studying a course within one of the following subjects: FST (Engineering, Biology, Chemistry and Physics).
Students will be expected to complete feedback on how the award has assisted them so this information can be used to encourage others to support Lancaster students in the same way.
