General Information | The award were established in 1985 through funds donated by the late Sir Alastair Pilkington. The awards are made to the three undergraduates registered at Lancaster University for a single major degree scheme in chemistry, computing, engineering or physics, or for a degree scheme which combines two or more of those subjects as majors who are adjudged by the appropriate Part I Board of Examiners to have obtained the best overall results in their Part I examinations. The awards are tenable during the undergraduates' second year.
