This online taster session provides an introduction to what it’s like to study Sociology and/or Criminology at Lancaster University within the theme of International Women's Day, as well as the opportunity to ask questions to our staff and current students.
Who is it for?
This event is for Year 12 &13 A-Level students and BTEC Level 3 Year 1 & 2 students who are interested in studying Sociology and/or Criminology at Lancaster University.

16:00 – 16:15: Introduction to Lancaster University
16:15 – 16:35: Sociology Taster Session
The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated pre-existing global inequalities, as well as creating new ones. In this taster session on 'International Women's Day', Lancaster Sociology department invites you to join us in considering the disproportionate impact that the Covid-19 pandemic is having on women and how sociological skills can help us better understand and critique this.
