Frequently asked questions
When will bursaries be confirmed?
Bursaries are normally confirmed around the middle of October. Lancaster will send an email to your Lancaster email address from firstname.lastname@example.org.
How and when are bursaries paid?
Awards are paid directly into a bank account which you nominate via an online process. We will send details of how to do this via email. Each award will be made in two equal instalments paid in November and February.
Can I receive a bursary for each year of my course?
You can receive a Lancaster Bursary for each year of study, providing that the assessed household income remains under the threshold of £30,000. You are not eligible to receive the Lancaster Bursary for any repeated years of study.
You can find examples of award entitlement on our award entitlement pages.
