Valuable experience
Sophia Au is a Wealth Management Director at FTLife, one of the largest life insurance companies in Hong Kong.
“Being at Lancaster means that you have lots of opportunities open to you, both as part of your studies and outside of your academic career.
“I worked for a manufacturing company in my third year, helping to conduct market research and gathering positive feedback on their new product launch. This was a great experience and I learned about the core values of professionalism and work-life balance.”

Pursuing passion and preparing for the future
Coming from the USA, Emma Page is a professional translator and has published a book-length translation.
“My literary translation career has been successful thanks to my time at Lancaster. Thanks to the placement I did at a translation agency, I was well-prepared to start freelancing as soon as I graduated. I used one of the translations I completed for my final MA project as a sample to send to publishers, and I signed a contract to translate the whole book. Having a published book-length translation is a life-long dream of mine, so this is really exciting!”
