Sichuan International Studies University (SISU)

Sichuan International Studies University is situated in a key development region of China and is the only university in the south west of China specialising in Language Teaching.

Due to our long standing relationship, we have a number of programmes available to students from SichISU.

Foundation Programme (1+3)

This one-year preparation programme enables students studying on the Lancaster University Foundation Programme at SichISU to access a wide range of undergraduate programmes at Lancaster.

Undergraduate 1+3 Programme (for Registered Students)

Students from the College of English Language and Literature at SISU who have satisfactorily completed the first year of their undergraduate degree at SISU, with a course average of at lerast 80%, are be eligible to apply for any undergraduate degree programme in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at Lancaster.

Undergraduate 2+2 Programme

On this programme registered SichISU undergraduate students  can choose to progress directly to Part 2 (the second to final year) at Lancaster after the first two years of specific programmes at SichISU. Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded an undergraduate degree from Lancaster. The Lancaster degrees offered through this programme are listed below.

For students from the School of Journalism and Communication at SichISU:
BA Media and Cultural Studies

For students from the School of International Relations and Diplomacy at SichISU:
BA Politics
BA Politics and International Relations
BA International Relations
BA Peace Studies and International Relations

For students from the Sociology Department at SichISU:
BA Sociology

Postgraduate Access Programme (4+1)

Students who have satisfactorily completed a full undergraduate degree at SISU with a course average of at least 80% are eligible to apply for a relevant Lancaster Master’s degree in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS).

Double Master's Programme (1+1+1 / 2+1)

Registered Master's programme students from SichISU, with the appropriate academic background, can choose to study one of the following full one-year Master's programmes at Lancaster in their second year:

Study Abroad Programme

SichISU undergraduate students from any degree programme can also choose to Study Abroad for up to one year at Lancaster.
