Updated 11 August 2020
We very much look forward to welcoming you to the Lancaster University community this autumn. As you will see from the Lancaster Promise, we are following the latest UK government health advice and taking the necessary measures to support the safety and wellbeing of staff and students. We may need to change some elements of our plans given the dynamic situation we are in and we will contact you with updates which are specific to study abroad students.
Teaching starts on Monday 5 October and there is a Welcome to Lancaster programme which starts on Monday 28 September.
We will send you information about how to book transport from Manchester airport to campus. Coaches will depart from the airport at set times and the service is available from 14 September. If you need to self-isolate on arrival, you can complete your 14 day isolation period on campus.
We appreciate that international travel is challenging at present, so you can arrive after teaching has started. However, please note Study Abroad and Erasmus+ students cannot arrive later than 18 October.
You will be notified of your accommodation moving in date by email if you are living in University accommodation. We will also send you more information about Orientation and module enrolment in late August.
If you are not able to arrive on campus for the start of the Welcome programme, please email email@example.com.
International students coming to Lancaster to study for a degree may arrive after 18 October as indicated here.
You must complete your online University registration by 16 October at the latest. However, you are encouraged to do this as soon as you are sent the online link so you can finalise module enrolment. There will be some changes to the advertised modules and we will update you on what these are shortly so you can check your study plan.

We will email you with further information about what you need to do before you arrive and what happens when you get here, later in August.
