Other sections in Your Global Experience:
I provide administrative and practical support for students from Lancaster University travelling to institutions abroad on the Study Abroad programme. I am focused on ensuring the students have a positive experience during their studies. Due to my own experience of studying abroad in California for a few months, I can appreciate the cultural differences experienced and the impact they have.
After graduating from Lancaster University with a degree in Linguistics, I did an English-teaching volunteer placement in Germany. I now administrate the incoming Study Abroad and Exchange programmes. In the summer, I coordinate the summer programmes run by the Linguistics Department: International Summer Programme, English for Academic Purposes, and Study Start. I welcome questions from students and overseas partners.
I graduated from Lancaster University with a degree in law, and have worked at the University for almost 5 years. I am responsible for incoming visiting students. The role involves ensuring a smooth and efficient application process for students coming to Lancaster on a Study Abroad or Exchange programme. It also includes continued support for students whilst they are on campus, responding to a wide range of questions they may have, to further enhance their global experience on campus and to help ensure students have a positive and memorable experience of the University. I also assist the Head of Global Experiences to develop the incoming programmes to continue to provide a relevant and varied opportunity for students from around the globe.
I graduated from Lancaster University in 2015 with a joint major in English Literature and History. My current role involves organising and creating exciting travel opportunities for students at Lancaster and supporting those abroad on our semester and year-long exchange programmes. I’ve been fortunate enough to have the chance to travel to four different continents while at Lancaster University and I feel like every student should have the opportunity to do the same. If you’re a student interested in travelling or an academic staff member interested in creating a new travel opportunity within your department please feel free to get in touch.
Having been brought in for a maternity cover, I take the lead on developing and implementing the Global Experiences marketing strategy for all programmes, events and activities. I work with the team to refine our product portfolio and communications with customers and stakeholders alike, with an overall aim of supporting the globalisation of student experience both on campus and abroad. With an MBA degree and CIM Postgraduate Certificate in Marketing, I’m originally from China and have lived and worked in China, Wales, Greece and England in the world of business, government and academia.
My role is to lead Lancaster’s Global Experiences team who provide both on and off campus opportunities including Study Abroad. Our team goal is to ensure every student has the opportunity to participate; on their campus, within their course and, if they wish, through international travel. We work to support students and colleagues across the University to develop new and exciting opportunities that sustain our position as a world-class institution. We’re a friendly team so if you have an idea or feedback for us please get in contact.
