Don’t Ditch It during the Festive Season

In the lead-up to the Festive season, Green Lancaster runs a range of events and campaigns to promote sustainability, efficiency and upcycling.

Merry Christmas!

As the end of term approaches, Green Lancaster is putting in place Don't Ditch It project donation points across colleges for students to donate household goods for distribution to a large network of charities and upcycling via the ECOShop. Look out for green and red crates in your college!

From Wednesday 13th to Sunday 17th December 2023, donate your clean and sorted household goods from the list below:

  • Clothing and Bedding (please use clear recycling bags at the donation point)
  • Kitchenware (ensure this is washed and in working condition)
  • Non-perishable food (sealed packets and tins only)
  • Books, stationery and electrical items
  • Household storage items such as coat hangers
  • Open food packets or perishables such as fresh food
  • Open bathroom products
  • General waste or recyclable materials (please use external bin stores across campus)

Making a New Years resolution?

Get involved with Green Lancaster in the New Year.
