Forrest of the Future Success

A team of volunteers stand in a field planting trees

Well done and many thanks to volunteers from across the University and local community who took part in last week's Forrest of the Future planting at Forrest Hills.

Over 100 volunteers helped work towards planting 2000 native deciduous trees on a steep east facing slope leading down to the Conder River. Despite some challenging weather conditions (including Storm Gareth and some flooding), the project was a great success and there was surprisingly plenty of warm sunshine between the brisk showers of rain and hail.
