Diane Purkiss<\/strong><\/span>
\nDiane Purkiss (Keble College, Oxford) is the author The Witch in History: Early Modern and Late Twentieth Century Reputations<\/em> (1996), Troublesome Things: a history of fairies and fairy stories<\/em> (2000), Literature, Gender, and Politics during the English Civil War<\/em> (2005), Shakespeare and the Supernatural<\/em> (2008), A History of Food in England<\/em> (2008), The dissolution of the English monasteries<\/em> (2010).<\/p>\n

She reviews for the TLS<\/em>, the Sunday Telegraph<\/em>, the Telegraph<\/em> and the Guardian<\/em>, and appears frequently on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and on BBC TV.<\/p>\n

Robert Poole<\/strong><\/span>
\nRobert Poole (Reader in History at the University of Cumbria) is the editor of\u00a0The Lancashire Witches: Histories and Stories<\/em>\u00a0(2002) and the author of\u00a0The Wonderful Discovery of Witches in the County of Lancaster\u00a0<\/em>(2011), an edition of the 1613 book of the trial with an extended introduction.
