What's On
NUS National Demonstration On Wednesday 21 November, students from Lancaster University will be travelling down to London to join in with the NUS National Demonstration. It costs over £15 per student to travel to London and LUSU are looking to provide subsidised transport to give as many students as possible the opportunity to attend. We are seeking any donations, no matter how big or small, to help us to subsidise this cost for students and you can make a donation here.. If you have any questions then please get in touch with Ste Smith, LUSU President.

National debating competition
Judges are being sought for a national debating competition for sixth form pupils called Debating Matters. The Lancashire Qualifying Round of the competition is taking place this year at Ripley St. Thomas CofE Academy in Lancaster on 14 November from 4-9pm. Judges are encouraged from as varied a background as possible, so the pupils can learn from the different perspectives. It will only take a few hours of your time but the reward for the student debaters is considerable – students often comment on how much they value the questions, points and constructive feedback they receive from judges. The timings and debate motions can be viewed here. For further information or to register your interest contact the Judges Coordinator, Jason Smith.
