The announcement of Professor Louise Heathwaite's (LEC) appointment as Chief Scientific Adviser, Rural and Environment, to the Scottish Government, was featured in the Farmers Guardian.

The Sports Centre appeared on the BBC website and BBC Newsround as well as on BBC TV North West Tonight and BBC Radio Lancashire, May 1, when musicians gave a concert on the climbing wall as part of the Curate the Campus festival. The event was also featured in the Times Higher Education magazine, 10 May, and Lancaster Guardian.

Students Varun Shah and Kevin Foster (LUMS) were both interviewed live on BBC Radio Lancashire, May 8, about their awardwinning business idea tripTAB. The story also featured on the BDaily website, Aircraft Interiors website, The Business Desk.

Professor Aristotle Kallis (History) was interviewed on BBC Radio 5Live breakfast on 9 May about the rise of the right wing in Greece. Listen again here. Professor Paul Farley (English & Creative Writing), was featured in the Westmorland Gazette, 10 May, presenting awards at the Anne Pierson Cumbria Young Writers Award at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal.

Lancaster University’s partnership in a new Centre for Global Eco Innovation in the North West has been featured in the Manchester Evening News, BDaily website, Lancashire Evening Post and on the Chemicals North West website.

Lancaster was mentioned in the Morung Express about courses at the GD Goenka World Institute in an article discussing India as the next university superpower.
