Professor Nigel Paul (LEC) was interviewed by BBC Radio Lancashire, September 3, talking about the current international conference at Lancaster on the ozone layer.

Professor Paul Farley (English & Creative Writing) presented the documentary ‘We Are the Egg Men’ on BBC Radio 4 on Thursday 19th August. The programme examined the outlawed practice of egg collecting, something that many naturalists and wildlife workers once engaged in as a boyhood hobby. During his own ‘shameful boyhood’ (Daily Telegraph), Paul abandoned his collecting, but some men never do, and he talked to naturalists, wildlife officers and egg collectors themselves to explore why people collect so destructively. The programme was a radio choice/pick of the day in the Independent, the Daily Telegraph, the Times, the Daily Mail, Independent on Sunday, Sunday Telegraph, Observer, etc
