Interested in ‘soft’ operational
research?
Part of the younger generation?
We are inviting all young* practitioners, PhDs and academics of ‘soft’ Operational Research to participate in a 1½ day ‘network meeting’. The meeting aims to further debate on how we (the younger generation) can drive the future development of ‘soft OR’ practice. The programme will involve a range of activities to stimulate a structured debate over the 2 days. Apart from keynote addresses, there will be no formal presentations. Click here for the meeting's programme.
We are aiming to attract a small group of individuals with a wide range of interests and backgrounds. If you wish to participate, please email us ASAP (final deadline August 1st) a few lines that capture your interest in ‘soft OR’, as well as telling us something about yourself. We will use this to select and invite a cross section of 12 – 15 people to participate. We will also circulate this information to all participants before the forum.

Further information is available at http://www.lancs.ac.uk/users/incism/
Participants will be chosen

guarantee accommodation.
Commencing
lunchtime Monday 9th and concluding 15:00 Tuesday 10th September 2002. QinetiQ

There
will be a dinner and social on September 9th. Further details of this,

The total cost of the event will kept to a minimum and not exceed £50 excluding accomodation. Financial support from the INCISM network will be available to meet costs for those who would otherwise be unable to attend. Unfortunately EPSRC funding rules mean that we cannot meet costs for practitioners.
For those who consider themselves eligible, an application form to cover costs is available at: finance form
