Dream reports

Flying through space no equipment faster than light.

Surely a five-side square is just a pentagon, it's just been named a "five-sided square".

Had to steal a computer chip from a restaurant. Found a chip behind bar. Ran, jumped over a railing 2 STOREYS UP and survived. Ran into room, got into gunfight, did a spinning jump flip and fired guns. In short, John Woo action film.

I was sat at the breakfast table with my parents but Elmo was my Dad and Big Bird was my mother making me a fry-up, then Elmo exploded.

I was talking with a person who was simultaneously my step-brother and Bart Simpson at the same time.

I had a dream I went into the back-room of the G.Fox Lecture Theatre and it was sort of really nice.

Further thoughts/dreams welcome. E-mail V.

2002-3

I am always getting chased and end up running on all fours.

I dreamed of a whole full-sized golf course contained inside a small building.

I'm in a submarine which floats in the air above water, which I can see through the window, below. A shark tries to break down some double doors and water floods in at which point I leap through an open door into the lake below.

There is a small bucket of water. The bucket is knocked over and the water keeps on spilling out and filling the whole room.

One or two of my stranger dreams concerning the change within geometry:

Once I dreamt that I walked through a doorway and entered a very long room which had a door at the other end. In front of me on the floor lay some flowers.I walked across the room and exited the room by the other door. I then enter from the first door and there in front of my on the floor lay the same flowers.

Strange..I think this is what Descartes was getting at!?

Another was when the whole world was upside down...I entered rooms on the ceiling although my perspetive was upright..everything seemed normal..I stepped over and down into the room..the light bulb was on thr floor but upright and had to be avoided in case I burnt my ankles!...

hmmm..!?...what would Descartes and indeed Freud make of those!?!

Dear Dreamer:

Thanks for those dreams - very interesting.

I suppose the first could be thought of as like keeping going in a straight line and yet ending up where you started - a clear breach of ordinary geometry..

The second sounds more like a breach of ordinary laws of physics - the room turned through 180 degrees without anything crashing to ground. - ?
