| Anything can be made to stand for anything else. Eg 'OK, this is me and let the sauce bottle stand for the other car'. But it is another question whether a representation is quasi-linguistically structured. If the pit organ just goes off in certain circumstances it is difficult to see how it could be internally structured in a quasi-linguistic way. |
