The Regional Centre is working to assist a number of secondary schools in the North West to meet the National Curriculum requirement around local history projects, through the creation of an online resource bank which includes range of primary sources and commentary, as well as links to relevant materials available from the websites of archives and museums, audio and video material on the BBC website and similar resources. The range of topics currently includes transport, the slave trade and abolitionism, the Jacobite rising and the First World War. Please visit the website - which is still being developed - at
