The U Start project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and is delivered by the Lancaster University Enterprise Team. As our events are publicly funded, we require you to “sign in” with your name, email address and signature, in order to prove that we delivered the event and that you attended.
The sign in sheet will be kept on file in a secure office with all other project documentation for a minimum of 10 years following the end of the European programme (currently 2022). We’ll also log your name and email address in our system in order to track our engagement data. All physical and electronic documents with your information are kept securely and sensibly, in line with the University’s data protection policies and measures.
So, what does this mean for you?
When you attend our events and express an interest in our activity, we’d like to be able to contact you to tell you more about similar opportunities which are available to you over the course of your time in Lancaster. In order to do so, we need your permission to email you. You can grant this permission on the sign in sheet, or by signing up to our mailing list directly.
By opting in to receive Enterprise news you’ll be sent weekly updates regarding:

If you opt in now, but then you decide you do not want to hear from us again, you will always have the option to unsubscribe.
If you do decide you would like to attend more of our events and activities, we may ask you to complete a short registration form. This form asks for your address, course details and equal opportunities information. As with the sign in sheets, these registration forms are kept securely and sensibly and are simply for the purpose of project administration.
Please Note: We may also take photographs of the event in order to comply with our funding regulations. These photographs may be used for publicity purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform a member of the team.
