ABSTRACT (taken from the Report)

This document focus on the development of a VoIPv6 application implemented on a Windows CE device namely the Arcom Device and latter implemented on a Pocket PC PDA written solely in C++. It involves the implementation of one system with the same functionality of a traditional telephone, however running over an IP network such as the internet. Issues such as privacy, compression techniques and ways to cope with data loss are also looked at in some detail and solutions are found to these problems in some degree. This report documents how the application was first conceived, designed and latter implemented, and then evaluated, concluding with a discussion on recommendations and improvements.
