Newsflash - Regional History in Schools Award Open for Applications
We are pleased to announce the opening of the 2024 Regional History in Schools award. This award, which is open to both primary and secondary schools, recognises innovative work by teachers in North West England in the fields of local and regional history. Two prizes, including a certificate and a free school visit and taster talk (or teaching session) from our RHC Director, are available.
The Regional Heritage Centre celebrates the rich and diverse social and cultural heritage of the North West, and we welcome applications relating to school projects or activities relating to any subject pertaining to our region’s history. Applications will be assessed on the basis of the originality or innovativeness of the project or activity as well as the quality of the materials produced and outcomes achieved, which may include displays, performances, published work (in print or online), etc.

The application deadline is 17:00, 19 July 2024. All applicants will be informed of the result of their submission in August, and winners will be announced in September 2024.
