Conference Call for posters, exhibits, artefacts, prototypes, proof of concepts, and all digital creative disruptions!

Are you a researcher working on a joint project with a non-academic partner?

Or are you working for a community organization or business and partner with an academic?

Perhaps you want to establish a partnership with a university?

We seek your contributions:

Academics, researchers, students, artists, those involved in creative industries, commercial and community organisations, entrepreneurs and other innovators!  Share your work – we encourage you to submit proposals, which could be ideas, experiences, or case studies.

Conference themes:

Co-design, research in the wild, citizen science, research partnerships, engagement and impact.

How to contribute:

Please submit a single A4 page abstract by 25 July 2014 outlining your project, partnership or proposal, on the theme of the conference. Specify whether you wish to present a poster, exhibit, artefact (sculpture, installation or film), prototype, project concept or other creative form. Include your full contact details, the format of your contribution, space requirements and any technical information (i.e. name, department, institutional or organisation affiliation, mailing and e-mail address, type and size of artefact, any specific requirements needed for exhibition). With joint work please identify ONE person as a lead contact. Please note: Funding, conference fee, and travel bursary maybe available, please feel free to contact us for support.

So you want to be a Catalysta? Of course you do!

Catalyst has funded eleven projects addressing two research questions related to citizen-led digital social innovation:

  1. Understanding behaviour: what stimulates people to participate in civic actions and why?
  2. Tools for change: what next-generation digital technologies best support how people want to innovate in a civic action setting?
