[M.111L] [M.111] House at Arsenal 111
is a pure shaft from a to joint b 6 " 2 high, and half way
up, 3 " 6 in circumference. Fig 4 is the capital with
transverse sections. fig 5 the shape of wood bracket
carried by the capital: *
The cable belongs to same figure: Above it, the beam is painted On one side of the little court ie. above the pillar
with a richly coloured light course leaf pattern. in the wall carried by woodwork fig 5 is a detached
5th with the musically trefoiled cusp and c3 section
but with the rare C headed pils: On the side
where staircase terminates - a pair of 5ths of the same
kind with a c3 carefully drawn except dentil at fig 6 the chamfer
roll peculiarly bold - the dentil shallow - is (a little
too deep in drawing) The chanfer as usual - thus
constructed [diagram] the largest semicircle that will go into
the [diagram] This pair of windows has a fine
early R.A.shaft: standing without a base on a C Plinth
and B P pils.
The stair itself is carried on 3 increasing round arches
with the large bold c section of archivolt and on
(I think restored) Ap pils with double filleted abacus
