is a side of one of the three lower arches of tracery: it shows
the constant management of the cusp: The way it is cut through
leaving the fillet so narrow next roll, in order to get a larger
hollow for lightness, is to be especially noted - & compared

Observe also, the cusp band is if anything a little thicker
than the main fillet following arch at bottom & top, there
This is very curious - Is it possible that all these traceries are are thus 3 thicknesses of which e f is intermediate:
of the later period of the window o described at p 88-103. The cusp would have been too weak with that thickness.

I suppose on the old design, which is earlier in manner than
any of the capitals below; the leaves very simple, and merely
spring up the bell and touch its angle with their points,
but do not curl back: The shaft below, from the point
2 p fig 3 to d fig 1 is 6 ft ½ in high: its
section is at fig 4: The circle at d fig 1 = 2 " 3
