with acute shell canopies and 5 foiled supporting arches finely cut
but very late transition Valueless. Maggior consiglio which Zanotto conjectures may have
been entrusted to them.
Pietro di Nicolo of Florence and Giovanni di Martino
of Fiesole were its sculptors, 1423; it is St John and
Paul and highly curious: This doge was the one who paid
fines to rebuild palace.

Observe that the true Pisan Crocket like a crosier, date 1410 1411.
occurring on the Scala tombs, is never found in Venice. 78. Duccio, with early crockets is 1336.
This tomb appears there to be the earliest in Venice of
the Gothic type. It ought to be worked out, and compared
with Zanotto’s barbarous design: and observe in
cloister of Frari, a curious little tomb with crockets
stuck out of ear upon its gabled canopy; as if dovetailed
into it.
