Maggior coveiglio which Zanotto conjectures may have

Observe that the true Pisan Crocket like a crosier, 85. Tomb of Agnese and and’Orsola, in St John and Paul bears
occurring on the Scala tombs, is never found in Venice. date 1410 1411.
78. Duccio, with early crockets is 1336.
This tomb appears there to be the earliest in Venice of
the Gothic type. It ought to be worked out, and com
pared with Zanotto’s barbarous design: and observe in
cloister of Frari, a curious little tomb with crockets
stuck out of ear upon its gabled canopy; as if dovetailed
into it.
