Vaulting. Observe at San G & Paolo, the vaulting diagonal ribs
are ridged : and the vaulting is, or I mistake of
wood, and the aisle sub arches rise out of it as opposite
as in la Scala: I think in Italy the idea of mere ribs
filled up or worked up to with vaulting is thoroughly
developed.

agaft. Then house in canal with narrow cusp close by:
Teatro Malitran, and finish with Pruili noting especially
its leaf ahsfta. and gabled dentil

No 112. One of the leaves up to the figure of Aristotle
in the Corner capital under Judgment of Solomon. I have
hardly ever been so much puzzled as by the neither blunt
nor sharp ends of the lobes. The rib is always semicircu-
lar in section, the leaf is broken off at the left, but it
is the same in places, only varied in flow on both sides.
