all the same as fig 5. which however was drawn from one
of the det; to which I doubt not the Sq with which they
interfere has been added, and perhaps the C pils: which I
should otherwise have expected to correspond with the pils
of fig 1 (but these of fig 1 are the pure section of the
shaft fig 4.)
The central group of this house having the pure pil
then pure shaft and then L. shaft is as
characteristic in instance as I could give. The Sq.
is all filled with marble.
Fig 6 on this paper is a mixtake.
No 81 Fig 2. which is arch to the water at Danieli - (31st January)
I had the brick broken away to-day and found as I expected
the second cusp: The profileof the whole window
arch is at p 158 1 a ove; the two parallel lines repre-
senting the mouldings but in the meanness there given the
outer line is not the dentil but the line on b in the
section on back of No 81. This section, fig 2 which is
real size, confirms the accuracy of my previous small note
to comp,ete it, fig 3 is needed, which is the depth to the
cusp from a. Fig 1 is the half dentil if its breadth
be made accurately 1 ¾ in or 7/8 in.
Fig 4 was sketched from the cusps to show their double
scymitar shape, and the flat arch between them when they
both die into archivolt. They both have their
