No 89. in another section at p 6. Doge Book; this figure was taken on the chamfer gh. ik
only on the opposite side of a b- let fig 1. here represent it with same letters. Then the
										edge of
this paper. A B. was placed in the direction g p. fig 1. so as to be a tangent to the roll
at p. and the chord of its curves g h. was produced upon it and the chamfer g h, Fig 2.
drawn as nearly as possible real size on it: and the curve h p2 parallel to the great cavetto
											- it
is merely to mark position - it would if truly drawn have run into the line k l (fig 2)
Again the edge A B. being placed || to and [?] with the line k l in fig 1, and a
tangent to roll at p2 - fig 1. the chord of i k was produced on it and the curves i k
and i p2 drawn parallel & true size. as far as p2. that is to p4 in Fig 2.
