Chaired by Professor Louise Heathwaite (Lancaster Environment Centre) this Debate will bring together a range of experts to explore the opportunities and challenges associated with refining the ecosystem services concept i.e. the multiple benefits people obtain from ecosystems. This is a  timely topic given the imminent reporting of the first UK National Ecosystem Assessment.  A key feature of this interactive Debate is encouraging better integration of the ecosystem services into policy and practice.
